Ava’s Fast and Focused Drive at the UAE Rotax Max Challenge – Al Ain Raceway Round 1.2
After a challenging weekend at Round 1.1, Sunday marked a fresh start for Ava Lawrence in the UAE Rotax Max Challenge at Al Ain Raceway. Fully focused and determined to reset, Ava approached the day with a clear goal in mind: to win. While the victory didn’t come in the final, her performance throughout the day demonstrated strength, composure, and focus under pressure.
Qualifying in P2, Ava immediately showed that her pace was strong, and despite a setback in Heat 1—where she was forced to the back of the pack after a first-corner crash—Ava kept her head cool and her focus sharp.
“The small setback didn’t make me lose my head or change my focus. I knew I had to move forward for the heat, Pre-Final, and ultimately aim for the podium,” she reflected.
Ava’s ability to maintain her composure and focus on the task at hand was evident in the Pre-Final, where she made a successful charge and crossed the line in P1. However, in the Final, she faced tough competition and made some errors in defending her position. “I made errors in judgment with my defending in the final, which I will learn from,” she said, eager to build on this experience and improve.
Finishing the day in P2, Ava’s performance was a testament to her consistency, resilience, and desire to keep learning and growing. As she looks forward to next weekend’s race in Dubai, Ava’s mindset remains one of constant improvement and determination.
