Ava Lawrence’s performance at the Rotax UAE Championship Micro Round 3 in Muscat, Oman, was an exciting display of perseverance and tenacity. The weekend kicked off with qualifying, where Ava started in P4. Despite the challenges of a new track and limited practice time, she quickly adapted and found her pace in the early sessions. However, a combination of factors kept her from hitting her fastest lap times during qualifying.

Throughout the heats, Ava faced strong competition and worked tirelessly to maintain her position. With each race, she pushed herself harder, moving from a P4 start to securing a P3 finish in Heat 1, holding steady in Heat 2 and Heat 3. These results kept her in the hunt as she entered the Pre-Final grid in P4, a position she was determined to improve.

Come Sunday’s Pre-Final, Ava started in P4 but faced a setback, dropping back to P6 in the race. Not one to give up, she kept her composure and focused on recovering. Ava’s determination shone through in the Final race, where, despite a rough start, she fought her way back into contention. Her persistence paid off as she climbed to P2, setting purple sector times and consistently improving her lap times. After penalties were applied, Ava’s final position was officially secured in P2, a result that reflected her hard work and resilience.

Ava’s experience in Oman wasn’t just about racing; it was also about experiencing a new place and soaking in the beauty of Oman

Looking forward, Ava is already excited to return to Oman, not just for racing, but for a well-deserved vacation. The weekend served as a reminder that every race, win or lose, is a step towards growth and improvement.

With unwavering focus and a positive attitude, Ava is set to continue her journey in karting, one race at a time.

“I was really pumped to attend Oman, not only for racing on a new track but to get to see some beautiful parts of Oman,” Ava shared.
